Our History
South Shore Millwork was started in 1991 by Jeffrey Burton in Norton, MA to manufacture commercial doors and frames. Three years later, the company moved to a 10,000 sq. ft facility on 3 acres in Norton, and expanded its capabilities, moving into manufacturing millwork packages for general contractors and designers, and manufacturing cabinets, stairs, and full woodwork packages. By 2004, we’ve built a loyal customer base and created a niche of manufacturing residential millwork for luxury high-end residential projects.
Today, South Shore resides in a modern 80,000 square-foot facility, fully climate and humidity controlled. Our building is incredibly energy efficient, running exclusively off of our 5-acre solar field. These efforts are complemented by remarkable building insulation properties, as well as a wood grinder that recycles excess material into wood-burning pellets.
After 30 years, our core philosophy has not changed. We continue to efficiently fabricate luxury-grade products and deliver the same exceptional service South Shore Millwork was built upon.
